I like to think my son is one of the most special people on the planet. He is sensitive, kind, smart, mellow and so very loving. Don’t get me wrong he is also a huge stinker and prankster. However, the essence of his being is beautiful. Yes, I am his mother so naturally you would assume my description is based on bias. Maybe, but I receive so many positive comments from people that spend time with him. He’s special and that’s a fact.
So much of his personality comes from the quality time we all spend with him. He thrives on one on one time. Listening to instruction and being able to process and follow through are one of his many gifts. The last 2 weeks he spent a lot of time with his DeVera family. The DeVera’s live very close to Waipi’o Valley. Cheyenne received a rock skipping lesson from Grandpa D while spending quality family time in the valley. Grandpa D. only says what needs to be said. To the point and very effective. He loves going to his Grandpa’s house, a dilapidated sugar plantation home in the Paauhau Village. The two of them will go under the house for hours making random craft/construction projects.
He will remember this day forever. What a special life he has. So much culture and love.

Look at how tall he is. I miss you guys…
Amy ~ It’s true. He’s one lanky fella. We miss you all as well. You need to call and check in one of these days…
This is so sweet. Family, love, culture, learning and growing… what a blessed life!
